Profile

I have been involved in photography since my days at Liverpool University in the early seventies. My professional involvement in the industry began in 1977 when I joined ILFORD where I have worked in Sales & Marketing roles in the UK, Japan and for 25 years until December 2013 in Switzerland.
With the change in circumstances of ILFORD Imaging Switzerland I have set up my own consultancy company Afilion Sàrl LLC and part of its business will be the sale of my images.

I am an Associate of the Royal Photographic Society and have had work exhibited and published in the UK, Japan and Switzerland. In addition I am a regular contributor to Inscape magazine in the UK and I am currently the Organiser of the Swiss Chapter of the RPS.

Having started out with a Praktica I've been working with Pentax cameras since 1975 and currently use K1 & K-3 bodies.

The work on this site shows a range of subjects and styles although travel work features quite prominently.
Themes in my work include lines, patterns, shapes and reflections.
Most of my city shots were taken on walkabout just seeking interesting compositions or sights and more recently Street Photography has become an interesting genre for me.
Living in Switzerland has opened my lens to many landscape themes and some images not necessarily normally associated with this country.

This site is still a work in progress as more image content will be added over time. A wide variety of images are also shown on the FLICKR page.

Both prints and digital files are available to purchase, please e-mail me via the Contact page.
